Privacy policy

Dresky is an app that checks the weather and shows you what to wear. It needs very little data to do that, and this page explains which data, why, and where it lives.

Who is responsible

What we use and why

• An anonymous account. The first time you open the app, an account is created with a random identifier and no name or email. It lets us keep your settings in the cloud.
• Your email, if you choose to sign in. If you link your account with Apple, Google or an email code, we store your email and the provider you used, so you can get your settings back on another phone. With Apple you can use a hidden email.
• Your preferences. How your Dresky looks, the clothes and colours you pick, your settings, the places you save (name and coordinates) and the packs you own. They sync across your devices.
• Your location, only for the weather. If you allow it, the app uses your location to get the forecast where you are. It is sent to our weather server, which passes it to Apple WeatherKit (or Open-Meteo if Apple fails). We don’t store it in your account or use it for anything else. You can search for your city by hand instead.
• Technical data. Like any server, ours log the IP address and time of each request, to find errors and prevent abuse.

There are no ads, we don’t sell data, and we don’t build profiles for anyone else.

Why we are allowed to

• Account, preferences and sync: they are needed to provide the service you ask for when you use the app (performance of a contract).
• Location: because you give permission on your phone (consent). You can withdraw it at any time in your system settings.
• Technical logs: our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe and running.

Where it lives and who helps us

Your account data is stored on Google Cloud in Madrid, Spain. We also use these providers, who only process data on our instructions:

• Google (Firebase Authentication): handles sign-in. It may process data in the United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
• Amazon Web Services (Ireland): sends the sign-in code emails.
• Cloudflare: hosts our weather server.
• Apple (WeatherKit) and Open-Meteo: receive coordinates to return the forecast, without knowing who you are.
• Apple and Google, if you sign in with them, under their own policies.

How long we keep it

• For as long as you have an account. If you delete it, everything is deleted right away.
• Anonymous accounts unused for 90 days are deleted automatically, with all their data.
• Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes and are removed afterwards.
• Technical logs are kept for 30 days at most.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion or a copy in a reusable format, and you can object to or restrict its use. Email hola@dresky.app from your account’s email address and we will answer within a month. To delete your account there is also a faster way.

If you think we have mishandled your data, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the AEPD, or to the authority where you live.

Children

Dresky is for people aged 14 or over. If you are younger, you need permission from a parent or guardian.

Changes

If we change anything important in this policy, we will tell you in the app before it applies.
